Healthy retro obsessives might be interest to know that Smeg is launching the Slow Juicer.
Yes, another 1950s-insured design for the kitchen, following on from the likes of the toaster and kettle range, not to mention the blender and mixer.
This one is perhaps a little more niche, aimed very much at those of us who prefer to get some juice into our bodies at every opportunity. This machine offers ‘Slow Squeezing Technology’ at 43rpm, a juice density regulation lever and a 500ml juice collection chamber. There’s also a rotating brush with four brushes (two silicon and removable) for a ‘pure juice’.
If that sounds like your dream, you had better start saving as the Smeg Slow Juicer will retail for £449.99.
No sign of it on the shelves just yet, but past appliances have tended to launch at John Lewis first.
