They look like something you might see being used by some hip young things in the 1960s. But the Loog electric guitars are strictly for kids.
It’s a nice concept. Real guitars, made of wood and with a distinctly retro look. On top of that, these are three-string guitars (for ease of learning) and guitars you build yourself, which apparently gives the kids more of a sense of ownership.
Once built, you get to play it, aided by an instruction book with songs on all eras, plus an app with a tuner and video lessons.
Lots of colours to choose from, as well as an eye-catching limited edition made for Third Man Records. As for price, buying direct from US-based Loog means a price of $199. In the UK, you are looking at £149.
