The original of this 1967 design was reissued with updated technology in the early noughties. Now the Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni-designed Snoopy Lamp returns once more in two limited edition colours.
Of course, the new colours don’t look as much like the orignial inspiration for this light, which was (of course) Snoopy from the Charlie Brown comic strip. But if you want to add a splash of colour to a room, then the green and orange variations might well be for you.
The design is unchanged from that 2003 reintroduction, which means a white marble base, with direct light through a thick glass disc and an enamelled reflector. There is also an integral dimmer and switch.
The lamp retails for £912 in either of these colours. The original is still available with the black shade, selling for a cheaper £677.
