This is an interesting thing – and this 1967 Volkswagen Charger Mk 2 classic kit car is not quite what it seems.
It looks like some kind of hip 1960s supercar, which is perhaps intentional. But this is actually a ‘kit car’, which (as far as we can see) is a body enhancement designed to go on a classic VW Beetle. Google around, there are a few enthusiast sites out there.
This one looks like the whole package, complete with the gullwing doors and spotty retro look. A head tuner, that’s for sure.
According to the seller, it has an MOT until February 2017, has been recently resprayed and the bodywork is in ‘good’ condition. The car also starts ‘first time’ and the engine and gearbox are both ‘good’. Basically, it is ‘ready to go’.
It’s also up for a proper auction. Currently, the bid price is just £575.
