An iconic design, with this 1950s Dieter Rams-designed Braun SK5 audio system also benefitting from being restored too.
In fact, the seller describes this version of ’Snow White’s Coffin’ as being in ‘near mint condition’ after work, which isn’t bad for a player dating back to 1959. Not that you would think of this as a 1950s design, it looks incredibly contemporary. Which is, of course, a credit to the man who designed it.
As you would expect, this is in full working condition, with a brand new (old stock) crystal pickup cartridge, wood side panels in excellent condition and a top perspex cover described as ‘blemish free’. The radio has three bands (VHF FM, Medium Wave and Long Wave), while the deck is a four-speed turntable. It also has a UK plug.
