Now this is a beauty. You could be driving away in this fully restored 1966 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia if you have money to spend.
The car was imported from Texas and converted from a left hand to a right hand drive. In addition to that, the car has had a ‘ground up restoration’ which was finished in 2016. As you can see, the end result looks pretty much like it has just come off the original factory floor.
The gunmetal grey paint job is fantastic, as is the red leather interior and the vintage-state dashboard, which actually seems to house a modern-era audio system (judging by the digital read out) but without losing the character.
It does all come at a cost though. £18,995 is the list price on eBay, but the seller will consider a cheaper offer.
Thankful they did not ruin the dash panel by cutting it out for a cheap stereo. And they didn’t install the fuel filter in the fire starter position either, so props for that! Not sure I would call it fresh off the factory floor though, with the bonnet not fitting properly, rust on the bumper, and dents in the wheel covers.
