This is almost identical to a model that we featured (and was very popular) a couple of months back. But this is definitely a different 1960s Fiat 500D Trasformabile car.
Just the little touches give that away, such as the location of the number plate and the colour of the seats. However, it is incredibly similar and if you liked the idea of that one, check this one out too.
It dates from 1962 (just like the previous find) and is a suicide door model in the Pastel Green/Verde Chiaro colour. It also has the original,499cc D engine, which has apparently covered less than 160 miles since being completely overhauled. So pretty much a new engine.
Of course, it also has the ‘Trasformabile’ roof that folds away into the engine area and has been the subject of a ’nut and bolt’ restoration, hence the condition of this thing. Love the leather bag on the carrier rack too, both of which are included in the sale.
The car is an import, but has period licence plates and an MOT in the UK. You can arrange to view and if you do, just make sure you have around £14,995 to spare in case you fall in love with it.
