What do you get if you cross a VW camper van with a Nissan Figaro? Something like the newly-launched Daihatsu Move Canbus.
Unashamedly retro in design, it has the look of a classic VW bus, but the retro look of Nissan’s nostalgic Figaro too (or possibly a Fiat 500), not least when it comes to the dashboard inside. It’s a cute car (or van), designed really as a city vehicle rather than something to take the family camping.
That’s because this is just 11.2 feet long and 4.9 feet wide, with a 660cc engine. It also has conventional front doors, sliding rear doors, a tailgate and judging by that dashboard, all the tech you expect of a new vehicle.
If you love it, there is the issue of Daihatsu recently stopping sales in Europe. But if this, like the Figaro, prices popular, then it might well make its way over here as an import in decent numbers.
