We have featured similar designs, some in better condition, in the past. But as this midcentury-style sewing box on eBay is currently just 95p, we thought we would flag it up.
The box dates from the 1950s and certainly has ‘the look’ if you want something with a midcentury slant to store your crafting or sewing bits and pieces. On that point, it’s actually quite a practical piece too.
The box is made of wood with plywood, then finished with an oak laminate and with two side opening drawers plus two more compartments for storage underneath. All of that comes with support from those angled legs.
As for condition, that is described as ‘fair’ with a ‘few age related marks’. You can see close-ups of those marks on the listing page.
If you don’t mind them, you can put in a bid. No one has done that as yet, so you might just get it for that 95p price.
