A premium piece in its day, this 1960s Dieter Rams-designed Braun PS1000 turntable on eBay is currently going for a budget price.
But this isn’t a relic of the past. According to the seller, this is in ‘top’ condition and ‘full working order’, complete with a stereo-magnetic cartridge from Audio Technica with new needle plus an Ortofon headshell and a new drive belt.
It plays vinyl at four speeds (16, 33, 45 and 78rpm) and still has the acrylic cover, which is in ‘very good condition’.
The downside is perhaps its weight. This comes in at 18kg and as such, will be pricey to ship. But the costs of that are on the listing. Talking of price, this is currently at just £1. So if you get it for not much more, the shipping might not seem such a pain.
