Good news if you liked these when we mentioned them last year – B-side by Taybles is making the cassette tape coffee table more affordable.
As you might recall from last year, these pieces were made fully to scale from a cassette tape. A tribute to the old school mixtape in your living room, they had a wooden body, stainless steel cup-holders, hairpin legs and a whiteboard label to write your latest mix on.
The maker has been selling these is some form or another for around five years, but the demand has always been there to make the pieces more affordable. The A-side designs still are pricey, but the new B-side is more wallet friendly.
It doesn’t look much different either. The new version is around 42 inches in width and with a fire wood body, steel legs, stainless steel cup holders and the same whiteboard surface.
But thanks to a Kickstarter project, you can get one from as little as $250 as the company tries to raise funds to turn these into mass market pieces of design. Stock at that price is limited, so don’t hang about. Variations and multiples are available at slightly higher prices too. Just as long as Taybles hits its financial target via the crowdfunding.
