Just spotted this Urban Outfitters Boombox, which looks like a 1980s box, but with a little added extra.
Presumably this is on the shelves because cassettes are suddenly hip again. But if you have a stash of tapes in a cupboard somewhere, it might also catch your eye. However, this boombox has that added extra – and we are not talking about the four-band radio.
This unit apparently converts your old cassettes into the MP3 format too, with slots on the bottom for SD card and USB connectivity. It looks a substantial unit too, although we don’t know for sure just how much output there is from those ‘X-bass’ speakers.
We know the price though. £60 online.
