When you next head to the newsagent, you might well see something by The Beatles on the shelf. That’s because a new magazine will have a different Beatles album on its cover each fortnight.
Ok, that might be the other way round (a Beatles album with a magazine), but you know what we are saying. Every two weeks, a magazine and album package will arrive featuring an official Beatles album on 180g heavyweight vinyl – and the first issue is something of a bargain.
That album is Abbey Road and as an introductory offer, you can pick it up for just £9.99 (compared to £16 on Amazon right now). Sadly, that’s the best of the offers as subsequent issues (23 in total) will retail for £16.99 for a single album and £24.99 for a double album.
Alternatively, you can subscribe at the publisher’s website and get free gifts related to the band if you commit to the series. Everything from t-shirts to vinyl storage boxes branded with the band’s logo.
It’s an interesting idea, but you wonder how many people will follow through with this after snapping up that first cheap album.
