This is a stunning car. If you have the money, you might want to consider giving this 1962 Citroen DS ID19 a new home.
Quite an interesting history too. The car is a right hand drive, built for Peter Ravenscroft, who was working in Nigeria and wanted a car suited to the area. So a large air filter, to cope with dust and a ‘whitish’ roof to reflect the heat were added.
The car was sold by the original owner back in 2003, then sold on again, with those subsequent owners not actually using it. The current owner got it in 2012 and thanks to that limited use, has a mileage of just 55,000.
It is described as bring in ‘excellent’ condition and has been converted to LHM fluid, with front and rear seat belts, stainless exhaust, a new clutch and gearbox bearings also added. It also now has a a DS twin choke carb for better performance.
£15,000 is the rather hefty asking price, but you suspect it might be a while before you see one in this condition again.
