It looks like new, which is probably because this 1962 Dansette Tempo record player on eBay has had a full restoration.
Dating from the first year this model was made, the Tempo here has been fully restored ‘electrically, mechanically and cosmetically’ to ‘as new working condition’.
The turntable is a Garrard Autoslim automatic, playing vinyl at four speeds and able to stack up to eight records at a time. Everything else is as you expect, but with a look that’s perhaps better than you might expect – down to being stripped and cleaned inside and out.
In addition, the single valve amplifier has been serviced, any out of spec components have been replaced, a new mains cable and plug fitted and the cartridge the Dansette company used is still present.
So originality abounds, as does the character. Right now this is at £36.
