It isn’t cheap, but this 1959 Lambretta TV 175 series 1 scooter on eBay looks amazing.
So it should. According to the seller, this is ‘a multi show winner’ as well as a genuine Italian scooter with the paperwork to match.
As you might have guessed, this is a fully restored model, one that ‘starts and rides superb’ with plenty of extras, a new clutch , drive chain and tensioner kickstart mechanism just fitted and a finish in ivory white.
The picnic basket might not be for everyone (I’m sure you can remove it easily enough if you don’t like it) and the price might well put a few off. But it’s still a classic to appreciate.
No auction or best offers sadly, this is on at a classified of £8,989.
Cheap or not you decide……….
In January 2015 a buyer paid £16,668 for an original TV1 at a Bonhams auction in the USA.
In my opinion original TV175 Series 1 models will be the first production line Lambretta to hit the £20,000 mark.
Hello,
Did the scooter sell?
If not I’m interested.

Adrian
