Two designs, both limited in numbers. We suspect the Roberts x Scion Revival RD70 DAB radios will not be on the shelves for long.
Scion is a label we have a particular fondness for, with their rugs, bedding and wallpaper all featuring on this site in the past. But radios are a definite departure, although teaming up with another retro brand like Roberts seems like a shrewd move.
The radio in question is the 1950s-style Revival RD70, which has been re-covered in a choice of the fox design or the hedgehog (aka ‘spike’) design. Of course, it’s also a very cool radio in itself, regardless of the covering.
The RD70 has DAB and FM reception (10 presets for each), along with a colour display, Bluetooth streaming, dual alarm functionality and a sleep / snooze function, not to mention all of that ‘50s styling.
Both of these radios are exclusive to John Lewis, one for sale now, the other at midnight on 15th September. The price is £219.95 for either radio.
