Yes, another one has come up for sale. That’s the 1970s Patrice Dupont-designed Radiola UFO record player.
An icon of space age design and a much sought-after piece, this was made for both Philips and Radiola, this of course being one of the latter’s players. The difference? Pretty much the branding and not much else.
The images for this listing aren’t as good as some in the past, but the seller has this down as being in ‘good condition’ for its age. A link on the listing for a video is perhaps the best resource for this, showing it playing if you are worried about that.
The only issue (and it isn’t really) is that a retaining clip for the battery cover broke and has been replaced by a metal clip. Considering the price, it’s nothing too much to worry about.
As for that price, it’s cheaper than others we have seen of late, up for £150 on a ‘Buy It Now’.
