We have seen these before, but this original 1950s sewing box on eBay looks to be in better condition than most of the past finds.
In fact, it’s the condition that sells it for us. Well, outside of the design. The latter is typical of the era, a 1950s midcentury shape, with tapered legs and drawers that open to the side, offering six compartments of storage. Construction is wood and plywood with oak laminate.
As for that condition, it is described as ‘very good’ with a ‘few age related marks and scratches’ as you would expect of something 60+ years old. £185 is the price.
