Spotted over at Junior Hipster are these wonderful Tintin book cover posters, which are perfect for a child’s room.
In fact, they are also pretty good for an adult space too. These are classics, a range of undeniably eye-catching artwork that really has stood the test of time.
The Tintin books have been around since the 1920s, with this mid-20th century artwork pretty much its calling card. These are images everyone recognises, even if they haven’t read the books and stories.
The vast majority of the artwork is available to buy – and quite cheaply too, especially if you go for unframed. You perhaps should do too. as the posters are sized at 50cm x 70cm, which makes them the perfect size for an ‘off the peg’ frame from your favourite large, out to town home furnishing store. Yes, I do mean Ikea, which seems to have taken over from Habitat on that front.
Four examples are pictured here, but you can find many more at the retailers’ sites. I’ve listed two because you can get the framed versions from the official store if you like for £53.95. But if you just want the prints, Amazon has them for £18.95.
Of course, if you are a fan of the French crime fighter, we have featured many other items in the past, from a rocket armchair through to colourful shoppers. Just a shame you can’t buy the dolls new anymore. Please get those back on the shelves.
