Yes, I have featured many of the Clarks classics for adults, but a Clarks Originals footwear range for kids is a new thing and one I very much welcome.
Some of the Clarks styles have made it out for kids in the past, the occasional desert boot generally. But now you can get a proper range for little people. Yes, just like the ones you know and love.
The Clarks Originals range is the ‘umbrella’ name for the brand’s vintage and retro classics, the shoes we readily associate with the brand from the 1950s onwards.
The three biggest sellers from this range are now available for children, those being the iconic 1950s desert boot, a mod classic that’s pretty much the defining style of the brand, along with the Desert Trek (my personal favourite) from the late 1960s and the Wallabee, which you tend to think of being a more recent shoe, but it is another shoe / boot first launched in the 1960s.
Each of those styles is available in various colours and sizes, starting from the ‘first shoe’ size and going through to around school age. Sadly, there’s a gap between that age and adult sizes, which is probably a disappointment for parents wanting there for their teens. Hopefully that will be remedied in the near future.
Check put some of the mini styles here and if you want them, be prepared to pay more than the usual price for a child’s shoe in Clarks. Yes, like the adult styles, these come at a premium price, anything between £45 and £60. Ok, you can’t put a price on style, but with little feet growing quickly, it is quite a big price to pay.
