Lacoste is celebrating its 85th anniversary, which seems a rather random one to pick out, but with clothing like the limited edition 1970s Lacoste interlock polo shirt on the shelves, I’m really not complaining.
Why the 1970s? This one just jumped off the page when I browsed the collection. It is a full collection too, with shirts pulled from the archive representing most of the decades from over those 85 years, as well as other generic designs and accessories to celebrate the milestone.
This 1970s shirt really does represent its era too. It could only be from the ‘70s.
Take your pick from a red or a blue colour scheme, as well as sizes for both men and women. The design is the same for both sexes, which is a slim-fitting polo shirt with pima cotton interlock, two-button point collar, colourblock bands and of course, the embroidered green crocodile branding on the chest.
It is worth checking out the rest of the range if the 1970s isn’t your favoured era. But if it is, the shirts are available online now, selling for £110.
