Not the cheapest option, but the solid oak sideboards by Red Edition are some of the more stylish out there. In fact, they are absolutely stunning.
Take your pick from the four colour options you see here, each one intended to be a reinterpretation of a classic 1950s Scandinavian look by designer Sabrina Ficarra. In terms of the detailing, the sideboards have large compartments for storage to the side, as well as a set drawers in the centre. So no problem in terms of storage. In fact, at 159cm long, there’s plenty of storage on top of the sideboard too.
Of course, if you just want storage, there are plenty of cheaper options out there. What sells this one its style. I love the tapered legs as well as the way the colours carry through across the designs, not just on the compartment doors.
As I said, not the cheapest I have featured. This is very much an investment piece at £2,092. But if you love the midcentury look, this is a piece of furniture that will be with you for some years to come.
