Fancy some op art in your living room? If that’s the case, it is probably worth having a look at the Vaserely rug by Niki Jones for Made.
There are actually three colours of this available, with the mustard yellow being my personal favourite. It’s just a wonderful retro shade for the living room. But obviously go for the one that best suits your own environment. You can’t really build a living room design around a rug.
While the mustard offers a retro colour option, the design itself also offers much on that front. With a name like Vaserely, you just know the kind of thing you are going to get. It’s a play on words around the pioneer of op art, Victor Vasarely, with the rug using a hypnotic design I’m sure he would have approved of.
This is, quite literally, a star in the living room.
Each of the rugs is ‘hand carved’ by artisans in India and each has a super soft feel, thanks to the high end New Zealand wool used. The finish is produced using a looped pile and high tufted pile for a ‘3D’ effect.
If you are going for a mid-20th century look in the living room (or any room for that matter), then this is definitely worth checking out, although the quality of it means the price isn’t exactly budget.
£349 is that asking price for all of the three colours. with each available to order right now.
