We have mentioned both the office range and the coffee tables from this maker, but the Danish Retro sideboards at Wharfside are certainly worthy of a mention too. In fact, even more so.
These pieces are absolutely stunning, but trust me, you will have to dig deep if you want one in your life.
Very similar to those other pieces, each has a 1960s / midcentury look and feel, but at the same time being pieces that would look at home both in a contemporary or retro home. But let’s be honest, this is Retro To Go and I’m only concerned about the latter. Any of these sideboards would look a-maz-ing in your retro or vintage-inspired living room.
There are so many options to choose from too, with just a few of those featured here. See the retailer’s page for the full selection, but from what I can see, there are nine finishes available, going from a light finish to something quite dark and plenty in-between. A choice of tapered legs to match as well and each with the metal tipping. I know, it’s only a small thing, but details like that really do set designs like this apart and shout ‘premium’ at the same time.
Oh and storage options aplenty as well, with two cupboard areas and three drawers available to hold your clutter (if it is being used like our sideboard).
So many finishes does make putting a price on these sideboards quite hard. So I will leave you with this. The designs start from around £2,790 and some are well above that. I think the term I’m looking for is ‘investment piece’. It certainly is an investment, whatever way you look at it.
