A good chunk of money off this West Elm midcentury pop up coffee table in the John Lewis sale right now. But the deal isn’t going to be there forever.
That’s right, not directly from West Elm, which does also have a sale on and this design in it. But from John Lewis, which also stocks West Elm and when the sales are on, sometimes goes bigger with the discounts. As is the case here.
Before we talk money, let’s talk about the design itself, which is rather lovely, especially if you don’t like clutter in the living room. Officially named the ‘pop-up storage coffee table’, it looks like a typically stylish 1960s design when folded shut, which is a big selling point.
But one side of that table does indeed pop up to reveal some hidden storage space, which is ideal for hiding books, magazines or anything else you want out of the way when guests unexpectedly drop by.
The other side is marble leaf and below that, a bit more storage, albeit more exposed.
I liked this when it was full price, although the price wasn’t exactly cheap back then. It still isn’t, but it has dropped considerably from £699 down to £499 if you fancy it in your home.
Of course, it is a sale, so that price and the stock isn’t going to last forever if it caught your eye.
