The title spells it out. A rare 1960s right hand drive Fiat 600D on eBay and right now, not that expensive.
The Fiat 600D is the slightly bigger brother of the much-loved Fiat 500 and a less common site on the road. According to the seller, there are fewer than 100 in the UK and many of them are recently imported Italian cars.
This one isn’t. This is a right hand drive and as such, quite the rarity. It will also appeal to someone who wants a car like this but is put off by having to readjust to left hand driving. You know what it’s like when you go abroad. It’s probably even weirder at home.
This particular model has never been restored and ‘hasn’t ever needed to be’. The paintwork is ‘unmarked’, it has ‘no rust’ and ‘drives very well’. Talking of driving, the car has a 767cc engine, which means a bit more power than a typical vintage Fiat 500.
The interior has its original fawn and cream vinyl seats, the headlining is ‘good’ but note that the ‘odometer/mileometer doesn’t work’.
Sounds like it has been treated well of late too, having been used for advertising and TV/film work and rarely driven on public roads. The car has also been kept in either a heated garage (winter) or a locked barn (summer). Which perhaps explains the condition.
The 600D will be sold with a full year’s MOT and it is exempt from road tax and right now, the price is at £620. There is a reserve though and obviously I haven’t a clue what that is.
