Fans of this particular Olympics and its bold imagery will no doubt appreciate the Lacoste Mexico 68 capsule clothing collection.
Essentially this is a mini range with the classic / iconic Mexico 68 at its heart. That logo set the standard when it came to graphic design at sporting events, an op art affair courtesy of Lance Wyman and Peter Murdoch.
It’s an instantly recognisable logo and an eternally cool one too. Hence why it is still appearing on clothes ranges such as this one.
Not everything in the range appeals to me personally, but when things are kept nice and simple by using it on a selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts, it works very well.
But you can get everything from polo shirts to hats in the range if you want to dig deeper into this officially licensed range, but as I said, the basic designs are where its at for me.
Some of those are pictured here, with the logo contrasting a plain t-shirt or printed onto a sweatshirt, with a Lacoste logo hidden away in there too.
You can buy it now in a full range of sizes for men and women, with t-shirts retailing for £50 and sweatshirts at £110.
