A lot of sofa beds have something of a similar ‘boxy’ look. Not so the Margot sofa bed at Made, which has retro style at its core.
It’s a rather luxurious design and on that would fit perfectly into a 1950s or midcentury modern interior. More importantly, this is seating that looks like seating, not something that would turn into a bed at a moment’s notice.
But it does exactly that. A ‘click clack’ and you can flatten this down to a bed or a day bed. Either way, it’s a good place to get your head down – or the head of a friend or family member in need of an emergency bed at the last minute. Once they get up, flip it back and it’s a sofa once more.
A good looking sofa too. The Margot has smooth velvet upholstery, a traditional buttoned backrest and some line detail plus those lovely supporting legs which are beech with a walnut stain and with brass tipping. The frame is beech too, should you be interested.
Take your pick from three colours, with the ‘vintage gold’ at the top of the page being my personal favourite. £499 is the price of this.
