If you have always fancied one of these, then get on this Weltron 2001 Spaceball audio system on eBay.
I say that because this is a system that is both fully functioning and in what looks like an impressive state. Rare to find one ticking both boxes. Being in orange tops its off nicely too. Orange, unlike white, doesn’t age was badly.
This audio unit was produced back in 1971 and as I said, is in fully working order and including the extendable aerial, carrying handle and suction base. The matching speakers are also in fully working order.
Oh and as a bonus, you also get an original Binatone model 753 8 track to tape cassette caddy with case and an original Decca 8 track tape cleaner. So quite a package. Especially if you can access some 8 track cartridges (there are plenty knocking around on eBay).
Condition is described was being ‘very good/excellent’, with the insides very clean and a battery tray never used. Note that the Binatone caddy ‘works intermittently’ and is currently not working. The seller says it will definitely need ‘an internal oiling’ but be aware of that if it’s a deal breaker.
This is still an appealing package regardless and right now bidding is at £275 if you want to get in on the action. Three days or so left.
