It is hobbies week at Aldi, which effectively means all things crafty, with the selection including these rather lovely vintage-style sewing boxes.
That’s right. These are not vintage and they are not from some trendy high street retailer (I’ll let you guess the name of that one). Many of the items in the range are what you would probably call functional, but the sewing boxes are the stars of the show for me.
To be fair, these are functional too, but there’s a hefty dose of style thrown in too – and all for a budget price.
Take your pick from two designs and two different finishes, those being a heart and a rectangle shape, along with a ‘Spring Floral’ or a ‘Ditsy Floral’ finish. I quite like the finishes, which have something of a midcentury Scandi vibe about them.
All have a padded exterior, removable storage tray, carry handle, magnetic closure and of course, a pin cushion inside. Not huge in terms of storage capacity, but if you are just an occasional ore weekend crafter, it might be just the thing.
There is, of course, one more appealing factor about this range, which is the price. Yes, of course, this is Aldi, so you can be sure that it is ridiculously cheap and that it will probably sell out very fast.
But it is in stock online right now and if stock is left, it will be in your local Aldi store from 13th September. Just £6.99 for whatever design you opt for.
