Unusual for the retailer to go so retro, but this is the Drayco 1960s-style seating range at DFS.
Yes, high street retro and quite bold for the high street too. Unashamedly retro and with a design that could almost pass for vintage in the teal cloth.
Not that the teal is your only option. Far from it, there is a seemingly endless list of colours to pick from, including a few other retro shades, such as a mustard or an orange. Or go for something a little more muted and let the design do the talking.
That design, as I said, is very much of the 1960s. A low profile (this has a fairly lower back than you tend to see on a sofa or chair), a curved frame and a subtle curve. Tapered legs, of course.
You can get that same design across three items, those being the three-seater sofa, the two-seater sofa and an armchair. There’s also a storage footstool available in the same cloth, which is perhaps best described as functional rather than stylish.
The price? Well, you will not be surprised to hear that there’s a sale on at DFS. Is there ever a time when there isn’t one on? I’m sure there must be a week or two when that’s not the case, although I’ve yet to see it.
Anyway, the sale means the prices are down and as things stand, a three-seater sofa goes for £379, the two-seater sofa os yours for £349 and the armchair sells for £299. That footstool I mentioned goes for a further £159.
All available now, although I expect there will be some kind of turnaround time for making and delivering.
