Everyone needs an occasional table and if your need is also midcentury modern, then check out the midcentury curved top tables by Judy Clark.
They look like tables from there 1950s and 1960s, which is pretty much the point. But these designs are actually modern pieces, the work of Judy Clark and made in the UK.
Specifically, all of these tables are made in Cornwall and all based on sketches by the design, which have been developed and adapted over the years. Although saying that, little has really changed.
Perhaps the range has expanded from the basic ‘kidney table’, but all the tables here have a similarly organic shape, tapered legs and of course, quality of workmanship that comes from producing these designs over a period of years.
To the kidney table you can now add the petal table and the comma table, as well as a variety of finishes. If you want a bold colour, you can have it. But more subdued shades are also available, as are typically 1950s sparkled finishes and a natural wood finish if you prefer that.
All the tables are available to browse and buy online, with a selection pictured here to give you an idea of what the brand is all about. Note the tables come flat-packed, but that’s really just a case of screwing in the legs to get your table completed.
Prices vary depending on your choice of design, size and colour, but as a guide, they are between £155 and £185.
