A longstanding favourite of mine, but the 1970s Roberts Rambler BT DAB radio is a new addition to the range.
Not that it looks any different from the previous models. After all, the Roberts Rambler is a retro classic and it would be foolish to mess with such a winning formula.
This is a 1970s design that has been adapted to the modern era. The casing is still very much about that era, with the wooden case, a metal grille at the front and the leather handle.
But this is a DAB radio, which means DAB stations alongside the FM frequency and a screen on the top to help you find them. That’s the modern bit. Well, almost all of it.
This model now comes with Bluetooth connectivity, which means you can easily stream your music and podcasts from a smartphone (or other Bluetooth device) to the Rambler by simply pairing with it. So not only a radio, a pretty powerful speaker as well.
This retro radio also has line-in and headphone ports, an alarm with sleep and snooze functions and the option of either mains or battery power.
Fancy one? Two colour options for the new version of the Rambler, both priced the same as the last one at £99.99.
