If you like the idea of some nostalgia on your wrist, you’ll be pleased to see the return of the 1980s Timex T80 digital watch.
Granted, this isn’t the hi-tech timepiece it was back in the day, but it’s an eye-catching timepiece that oozes the decade that gave birth to it and as watches go. it isn’t the most expensive watch out there.
So many variations out there, whether you want an expansion band or a bracelet band, not to mention the shades. You can go for a couple of different gold finishes, something in silver or something subdued in black.
In terms of the features, those are pretty standard. At least, they are in the usual version of the watch. You are looking at a date display, a stopwatch and an alarm, as well as the trademark Indiglo light-up watch dial, water-resistance and of course, it tells you the time too.
If you want any of the colours/finishes, they are available at the Timex site right now for £49.99. But that’s not quite the end of the story.
In the US, the Pc-Man variant has also been reissued. It isn’t in the UK online store as yet, but I can only presume it will follow.
The difference? Well, the Pac-Man design on the front of the watch is the obvious one, but it also plays the iconic Pac-Man melody. So an added level of nostalgia. Pricier too at $79.99 in the US, so expect it to be around £20 or so more expensive when it hits the UK too.
