Not that you would think that looking at the photos of these new designs. Each one looks like it has been cut from a vintage Mini. Which is pretty much the point of it.

But that’s not the case. Each of these car-themed chairs is an individual design, bespoke and made in the north-west of England using a Mini front that is an exact replica made of fibreglass.

Being bespoke, you get to tweak the details, not least the fabric or leather of the upholstery, which is produced by a local furniture manufacturer, as well as the colour of the fibreglass frame. You can also get the frame wrapped if you have something in mind, like the Union Jack shown on a couple of the pictures here.

Genuine Mini parts finish the look, but these are surplus parts rather than someone ripping apart an old Mini for them. Let’s be honest, it wouldn’t really be cost-effective to scrap a load of old Minis. Just look at the price of a vintage Mini to see why. They don’t come cheap in 2020.

In truth, neither do the armchairs here. Considering this is a bespoke product, the £2,100 price tag (or £2,300 wrapped) isn’t as much as you might think. But it certainly isn’t loose change either.

A great feature for your home regardless, especially if you love classic cars or the swinging sixties.
