Not cheap, but the handmade 1950s-style Atomic sideboards by Scout & Boo are incredibly eye-catching.
This is one sideboard design in a number of colourful finishes. All with Atomic decoration, which is typical of the 1950s.
Saying that the handmade sideboard probably isn’t. It is a retro design, but one more in keeping with midcentury Scandinavian sideboards to these eyes. Not that I’m being critical. This is still a lovely piece of woodwork for your home and a very practical one too.
The sideboards have two large cupboards with shelves, those shelves being removable, along with three grey felt-lined drawers in the centre. In short, there is ample storage in here for anyone. Functionality to match the looks.
The hinges and drawer runners are all said to be ‘high-quality soft-close’, producing a ‘lovely user experience’. Each one is handmade to order too, so something unique for your living room.
The handmade nature, the size (152cm wide x 73cm high x 45.5cm deep) and the design all contribute to the asking price, which certainly isn’t cheap. It comes in at £1,750. But if you can afford it, you’ll find this is a quality piece and a talking point for any retro home or room.
All the colour options are pictured here and all are available to order now.
