Part storage, part art display and part showing off. I think that pretty much sums it up. If you love your record collection and want to show it off, this is for you. But you might just have a love of album cover art. I know I do and the golden age of vinyl was full of mini-epics on that front.

This isn’t a cheap option, it is very much a premium affair for your room. Take your pick from solid walnut or maple for the shelves, with the wood hand-selected and picked for the colour, tone, grain and consistency. That makes each one a unique piece.

When fixed to your wall, the shelving allows you to slide your albums effortlessly in or out should the need the play them arise. Or if you want to swap the display around.

That’s the beauty of it. This isn’t ‘fixed’ art, this is art than can change on a weekly, daily or even hourly basis. It is also versatile enough to hold double gatefold albums too, thanks to the extra-wide grooves. Those grooves should also minimise damage getting the albums in or out. No one wants any scraping.

As for installation, that’s described as ‘very easy’ with hardware and instructions included with the shelving. Just one last thing – the price. That’s variable depending on the set-up you want on your wall. As a rough guide, you are looking at £161 for a four-album width over a single row. Add in more rows or further length and you pay more. But you can work out the cost easily on the maker’s website.
