These handmade midcentury wall art plaques by Royale Enamel are from a maker you might recall from a popular design last year.
That popular design was the midcentury modern clock range by Royale Enamel, which seems to be the must-have accessory for any 1950s or 1960s-inspired home right now. if you want evidence of that, the clocks are now on a four-to-six week wait. To be honest, it might well be the same for those lovely plaques too.
I did hear that Royale Enamel was branching out, but I have only just spotted these plaques, which have a vintage look despite being new pieces. If you saw these in a specialist sale or store you would be convinced that these were 60 or so years old.
That’s down to the design and shape, but also the illustrations too. There are four variations to choose from, with my personal favourites being the cats – but have a look and make your own mind up.
Each one is handmade, set on faux teakwood asymmetric backgrounds and with the designs produced from lucite and Formica. The end result is certainly impressive. Each is made to order and if you want something different on the plaques, you can contact the maker who will do their best to create something that fits you and/or your home.
If you want a pair, the price is £125.
