This is just an evening hobby, but the upcycled midcentury modern clocks by Blackwell Woodworks are better than many mainstream designs.
Why an evening hobby? That’s because during the day owner Eric Blackwell makes guitars. But when the guitar production finishes, Eric turns his hand to making other pieces. Like these clocks.
Each of the designs is handmade with care, intended to last a lifetime and more importantly, with the intention of being a unique piece for your home. You are unlikely to see another one in a friend’s home. That’s always a bonus.
Some of those designs are here and as you can see, they are lovely things. But not the cheapest designs out there. If you want something a little cheaper, I would suggest you check out the midcentury modern clocks by Royale Enamel.
Saying that, if you have the budget, do have a look at these. At the top of the page is the Mid Century Retro Clock, retailing for $249. Working down the page, the Mid Century Modern Desk Clock is $229, the Starburst Wall Clock is $599 and the Mid Century Modern Clock (which might pass as an Art Deco accessory too) is $259.
A constantly-changing range that you can browse at the Blackwell Woodworks website.
