I haven’t featured one of these for a while, but this 1972 Fiat 500 L Lusso car on eBay is a beauty and deserves the spotlight.
It has a lot going for it, not least the fact that this is a right-hand drive British model. Many of the good-quality Fiats you see for sale these days are left-hand drive imports. That might appeal to some, but if you are used to driving on roads in the UK then you probably want a right-hand model rather than a left-hand.
But that’s not the only selling out of this one. First off, the ‘Lusso’ means this is one of the premium versions of the cult classic and secondly, it has had a lot of care and attention.
Not just that. The car has had a complete rebuild. So you are looking at a car with all-new suspension, new brakes and with an engine rebuild.
It has also been fitted with a reconditioned synchro gearbox an ad new clutch. So in terms of the inner workings, it all sounds very positive.
Cosmetically, the car has been taken back to metal, with all the rust removed before it has a complete respray. There is also a new interior here and new chrome to the outside.
Finally, new lights were also fitted around the car and new Pirelli tyres have just been added. Although exempt, it has also been through an MOT.
According to the seller, the car has been on the receiving end of ‘hundreds of hours’ and considerable expense, all of which was a ‘labour of love’, as you can see from the end result. All of the paperwork available too, as you can see.
Of course, you can book a viewing (contact details are on the listing) but if you have seen enough, the car is up for sale right now via eBay. £12,000 is the classified price, but you can make a cheaper offer if you wish.
