A maker you might have caught before, but the retro TV coffee table by Cambrewood is an all-new design by them.
The design you are likely aware of is the handmade retro cassette coffee table, which has been hugely popular on the blog in the past. Actually, I also featured a teak lounge chair by them some years back too, but sadly that’s no longer available to buy. The cassette table is though, should you like the look of that.
You might like the look of this design too. It is, as the title says, a coffee table that takes inspiration from a vintage television set. Not a specific set, but the kind of TV you might have seen in a living room 50+ years back. Or possibly even less. TVs were still pretty much a wooden box well into the 1980s.
The design on the surface of the table has the controls, the speaker and the colourful ‘test card’ screen in perspex. It’s a great finish. The table itself is a lovely thing too. Handmade of course, with a lovely wood finish and some hairpin legs for support.
