Not sure it is a ‘whole house’ design, but a feature wall or music room would be ideal for the vinyl-inspired Sevens wallpaper by Ella Doran.
Of course, you would have to love your music and in particular the 7-inch format for it to be even slightly of interest to you. But you have read this far, so I can only assume you are.
Part of a ‘nostalgic’ collection by the designer, this is a bold graphic design that uses photographs of old 7-inch vinyl, which are then arranged on as regular grid that’s reminiscent of 1950s textile designs and a target sheet.
Not that the records are from the 1950s. At a glance, they look like titles from the 1960s and 1970s. I can’t really make them out, but you might have a better idea.
As I said, it might get a bit much if you did a full room with this design. It’s very much ‘feature wall’ material, especially when you see the price. More on that in a moment.
But if you are looking to cover a larger space, there is a more subdued taupe background available, as well as the more vibrant red finish. Whatever colour you go for, each design, which is digitally printed in the UK on high-grade FSC paper, is sold as a 10m roll, with a width of 52cm. Samples are available if you want to see it up-close.
Or if you want to buy a roll, each one retails for £150. As I said, not cheap. But it will create something of a retro talking point in whatever room you use it in.
