A classic City Series shoe, the Adidas Kopenhagen trainers are back on the shelves once more in their original colour.
Not that they have been missing since the 1980s Far from it. There have been reissues, not least a Size? exclusive aroid 10 years or so back, as well as some colour variations like the ones here and here around that time too.
But it isn’t a regular reissue, not least in the wonderful yellow and black colourway and as such, well worth picking up if the style and shade appeal.
As I said, a classic from the Adidas City Series range of the 1970s and 1980s, this one share a similar silhouette to the Adidas Oslo that was reissued towards the end of 2019. Although the subtle differences and of course, the colour, lift this one up a level for me.
That’s a bright yellow leather upper, black details, serrated 3-Stripes down the sidewalls and a Trefoil-branded heel patch. There’s also a suede toe bumper to prevent scuffs, a crinkled tongue and a fairly chunky sole.
A good, rugged City Series design that will get you noticed. £85 is the price of a pair.
ha – all those hypebeasts that paid over £100 for these on ebay after beliving there was only to be 500 released.
