Celebrating 50 years since its launch, the Q Timex 1972 Reissue watch is back in limited numbers.
Not just a pretty retro face, this was also quite a notable timepiece all those decades back too. The early 1970s saw something of an upheaval when it came to watchmaking, not least at Timex, which brought out its first Quartz watch designs. And the one you see here is the very first, returning to the shelves to celebrate that milestone.
It features a gold-tone tonneau case profile with all-around polished finishing and floating hour markers that hover above the bold red dial. A polished handset to match too, plus a period-perfect domed acrylic crystal on top and a coin-slot battery hatch underneath.
It’s a watch that’s very much of its era whilst also keeping something of a classic/timeless look. Yes, it’s a retro watch that screams the 1970s. But it’s also still a smart watch for the modern era too.
Not many are being made, so don’t hang around if you want one of these. The price for this reissue is £155.
