And of course, its appeal is largely going to depend on your love for vintage arcade games. Forget about all the latest Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo titles. You are not playing any of them on there. But you might not want to. People love a classic arcade title, myself included.

They would play like a dream on the Capcade Model 1 too. And when the game is over, this wonderful piece of kit will still get admiring glances from visitors.

In fact, as the maker says, this is designed to ‘enhance the decor’ as well as being a functional gaming machine. Each one is handcrafted in London using African Iroko and Birch ply and finished with the finest quality Ultimarc arcade joysticks, buttons and spinner for the ultimate authentic arcade experience. As it’s a custom piece, each can be tweaked to your own requirements too.

Each one uses MiSTer FPGA hardware, which means ‘unrivalled’ arcade-quality emulation of thousands of your favourite retro arcade, console and computer games too. So don’t worry about being stuck with the same title week on week. Finally, there’s a 19-inch 4:3 ratio arcade monitor and amplified stereo sound.

If you live in London, the maker will come and deliver/fit the machine at no extra cost. Outside London, all the necessary bits and pieces will be provided. But if I was you, I would get someone in who knew what they were doing when fitting, as this is a costly piece of kit.

You are looking at £4,750 to own one of these.
