Not a new concept, but I like the look of this Koble Zain midcentury modern audio table, as well as its functionality for your music and your phone.
I say not a new concept because you might recall the retro audio table by i-box and the similar midcentury speaker table by Steepletone. Both of which are worth checking out, not least because both are cheaper than the one here.
But this one looks like a more substantial piece of kit, as well as a more classy design. It’s also perfect for your midcentury modern setting, adding in some side table functionality as well as audio capability.
Not that you would view it as a speaker (and phone charger, I might add) as it doesn’t really look like a piece of technology. More of a drum-like side table, which is pretty much the point. But it does have the added pull of the tech.
And it isn’t an afterthought. This table offers 360-degree sound in what’s described as ‘crystal clear quality’, with touch-sensitive controls cranking it up high or low, depending on your mood.
Talking of volume, there’s a 40W subwoofer tucked in here. So just connect your device via Bluetooth, and you are away. Talking of devices, the table also has a USB charging point as well as a wireless charging surface for compatible phones.
All of that is within the retro table design with a walnut veneered top, grey upholstered base and some solid wood angled legs.
Want one? You can get one from Cuckooland for £289. And note there’s a discount code on the site, so likely even cheaper.
