If you enjoy Retro To Go or if the site has helped you over the year, then you might like to Buy Me A Coffee.
Not in ‘real-life’ of course. Although if we are in the same area I really wouldn’t say no! But this is a virtual coffee and I’m asking for good reason.
I run and write the Retro To Go website alone, as well as paying all the bills for its upkeep. Once upon a time, ad revenue would offset those costs. But that market has declined over the years and it is sometimes a struggle to balance the books.
Those costs include the hosting, backups, security and the kit and software I need to keep the website updated and ticking over. In addition, there are developer costs in case anything needs an upgrade. The newsletter too. It all mounts up.
I would never go to any kind of subscription model as I don’t believe in that. So I’m asking if anyone would like to buy me a virtual coffee now and again to help keep things ticking over.
It would help give the site a long-term future, which I’m hoping is a good thing. Every penny helps. Of course, my time and effort writing the site is absolutely free as I love doing it – and have done for years. I think it’s something approaching 15 years now, would you believe.
If you do feel like you can afford to buy me a coffee to support the site, please do that. You can Buy Me A Coffee at Ko-Fi and it takes seconds.
Many thanks if you do and thanks simply for reading this far.
Best wishes,
David.
