Fans of vintage wall coverings and old-school animation rejoice. The 1930s Disney x Sanderson wallpaper collection is now available to buy.
Not that I am suggesting you cover your entire house in it. Feel free to do that if you have a Disney obsession. But realistically, this is a great collection for a kids’ room gone retro or a feature wall for a fan of vintage Disney.
Why? Because it looks amazing. Timeless imagery with a period authenticity that still works today. If you have a 1930s house, this could be a perfect finishing touch. But to be honest, it would work in any house to add in some character and a talking point.
Sanderson first collaborated with Walt Disney in 1928 for a range of children’s wallpapers, with this collection being a relaunch of iconic 1930s designs together with new patterns in keeping with the look.
Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmations and Bambi all feature in various designs and colour options. There are even a couple of murals to choose from, too. I’ve picked out a few here to tempt you in, and if the range works for you, there are more on the retailer’s website to check out.
The downside? This isn’t the cheapest range out there. Which is perhaps why it might be best to use it sparingly on a feature wall.
How much? Well, you are looking at £119 per roll, which is a 10m roll around 0.69m in width if you want to do the maths based on your space. If you want a closer look before you commit, you can order a sample.
