There’s so much to love about this maker/seller, but for now, let’s talk about the retro pop Christmas cards by Eight Bit North.

I have featured mugs in the past, but the most popular (I presume) items created by the maker are the digital patterns, which are well worth a look if you want to get crafty and retro over the colder months.

In fact, there are some Christmas patterns featuring everyone from Slade to Wham to look at, too, and if you get a push on, you might be able to give the finished design as a gift. Or alternatively, opt for a Christmas card.

The cards are very much cut from the same cloth 9no pun intended) with the same 8-bit imagery. Except you don’t have to stitch it. The design is already created for you on a card.

And if you like the idea of giving a card that’s just a little different this year, they are well worth considering, especially as they don’t cost a fortune.

You can see the options here, which include Slade, David Bowie and Bing Crosby, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, The Ramones, East 17, The Sex Pistols at the infamous Ivanhoe’s Christmas party, and Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

There are also a couple of extras – the iconic It’s A Wonderful Life Movie and the one I intend to buy, The Good Life sitcom Christmas Special. It doesn’t get more festively niche than that.

As I said, the cards aren’t expensive, starting at just £2 each, and some new designs are also available to pre-order. And while you are there, do check out the rest of the items in the shop. Especially if you are crafty – or know someone who is.
